Around 100 representatives from a wide range of charitable and not-for-profit organisations attended our 7th annual seminar this year at the Solent Hotel, Whiteley.
Charities involved in education, health, religion, poverty, arts, sports, environmental issues, animal welfare and the armed forces joined us to update their knowledge and receive valuable advice on many interesting and relevant issues from our experts in the charity sector.
The Morris Crocker annual seminar for charities in now an established event in our calendar and we were delighted to welcome so many familiar faces and quite a few news ones to the seminar.
For those who missed the occasion, this year’s presentations were:
· an overview of the latest legislation by Richard Perry, Head of Morris Crocker Charity Team
· the importance of effectively communicating the impact of the charity’s work in the trustee report by Gavin Whitter, Senior Manager of Morris Crocker Charity Team
· the controls needed to help protect the charity from fraud by David Bourne, Senior Audit Executive, Morris Crocker Charity Team
and from our guest speaker, Adrian Pashley, senior solicitor at Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons:
