CSR
At Morris Crocker we have a duty to act responsibly in everything we do. This means being a good citizen in the community where we operate, and making sure we attract the best employees by providing the best working environment.
Here are some of the ways that we achieve this:
Reducing our carbon footprint
We’re striving to create a paperless office, storing all emails and external correspondence electronically, in our document management system, so we don’t need to store hard copies.
We’ve also invested heavily in software technology to enable us to produce accounts, prepare tax returns and provide audit services without paper. Plus, any information or marketing materials we produce such as leaflets, brochures and newsletters, are printed on recycled paper or available in electronic format.
Lastly, we always try and reuse, recycle and reduce wherever possible whether it’s recycling printer cartridges, using biodegradable plastics in the office or promoting energy efficiency throughout the company.
Getting involved in the community
As well as straightforward measures such as using local suppliers wherever possible Morris Crocker also try to help the community in other ways. Outside the office, many of our partners and staff use their business skills to support various community-based activities, ranging from school governors to charity trustees. For example, current voluntary positions our staff fulfil include:
- Gavin Whitter (Senior Manager) – Trustee and Chair of Finance sub committee at The Royal Marines Museum. Member of Finance Committee of The National Museum of the Royal Navy.
- Duncan Gardner (Senior Manager) – Business Mentor for the Princes Trust.
As well as ensuring our offices have full disabled parking and wheelchair access, we’ve designed this website with visually impaired people in mind, and are fully compliant with current website reading software.
Doing our bit for charity
We support numerous charities throughout the year whether as individuals, as a team or as a firm. We provide a free annual seminar to charity trustees on current issues affecting the sector. Each year our staff team take part in a range of activities such as sponsored runs, walks and climbs as well as numerous other charitable collections throughout the course of the year. Please click on our Gallery to see some of our staff members participating in events.
