The deadline for filing your 2016/17 self assessment tax return with HMRC is midnight Wednesday 31 January 2018. If you have received income in the period between 6 April 2016 and 5 April 2017 from any sources other than your PAYE wages, a pension or interest on savings you may need to complete a tax return.
