Specialist Charity Accountants & Not for Profit Organisation Advisers
If you’re a charity or not-for-profit organisation, we’re ideally placed to look after your financial interests. Why? Because, we are both large enough to offer the specialist expertise and services this sector demands, yet small enough to give you a high degree of partner involvement.
Currently, we are a valued adviser to over 100 charities and not-for-profit organisations. These include professional institutions and associations, religious bodies, grant making trusts and foundations, education, youth and arts organisations, and welfare, environment and healthcare charities. Our client base ranges across the whole of the south coast, from Bournemouth to Brighton, and we are ideally situated to advise London based charities.
We understand the pressure to maximise funds and make the most of every fundraising opportunity. Led by partner, Richard Perry with over 25 years’ experience, the team provides the strategic advice you need to achieve your organisation’s objectives. Richard is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Special Interest Group for Charities and regularly attends the Institute’s relevant conferences.
As well as core audit and accountancy services, we can advise on a range of other issues including governance, risk management strategies and internal control procedures. This will make it easier for you to comply with SORP (Statements of Recommended Practice), and help you plan and manage your operations better. We also ensure all our clients are sent regular newsletters, detailing current topics and changes affecting the sector. If you would like to receive our regular newsletter, please email us here to sign up.
If you would like any further details on any of the above, or have any other questions, please contact us here or email our specialist charity accountants team on Charities.
Morris Crocker Annual Seminar for Charities 2012
We will be holding this year's seminar for charities on Tuesday 12 June 2012 from 4.00pm to 6.30pm at the Solent Hotel, Whiteley, Fareham.
This is a FREE seminar and will provide an update on the latest financial and legislative issues for charities. It is open to all trustees and executives of charities and not-for-profit organisations or others with an interest in the sector.
We will be joined by two senior figures from the charity and finance sectors: Professor Paul Palmer, Associate Dean (Ethics) and Director of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Cass Business School, and Barry Naisbitt, Chief Economist at Santander UK.
Paul will be addressing the challange to charities of measuring impact and looking at social bonds as a new source of finance. Barry will be providing an insight to the current state of the economy and its effect on charities.
Head of Morris Crocker Charities Team, Richard Perry, will give an update on the legal and accounting issues and their implications for charities, and IT Manager, Richard Setford will suggest how charities can extend their reach through social media.
