Specialist Doctors Accountants

The often dramatic and fast-moving nature of the NHS means there are many complex issues and challenges facing doctors. At Morris Crocker, we’re in an excellent position to help you meet them, comply with ever-changing legislation, and take advantage of any opportunities. We work with well over 100 medical practices in the South of England, providing them with financial, accountancy and advisory services tailored to meet their specific needs.

We are also the founder member of the Specialist Medical Accounting Services (SMAS) Group, a national network of accountancy firms providing specialist financial, accountancy, superannuation and taxation advice to over 350 doctors practices. This large base of clients allows us to produce statistical information and averages which we can use to advise individual practcies on there strengths and identify potential weaknesses.

We have been sepcialist medical accountants for over 35 years, advising doctors, consulatants and locums on all areas of their personal affairs. The medical team is led by Partner Richard Perry and Tony Fenner (consultant), overseeing nine qualified managers all of whom have a vast amount of specialist medical expertise, giving advice on all areas of accounts, superannuation and taxation affairs, as well as pension arrangements. The changes to GMS, PMS and Dispensing contracts present numerous opportunities to increase profitability and we specialise in maximising the income of GPs from what ever contact they hold.

With so much experience in the medical arena, we are familiar with all the possible effects of partnership changes and can guide you through the whole process - from raising initial capital and refinancing of surgeries to calculations in relation to the admission or retirment of a partner.

We can also help form specialist companies and LLPs in order to provide non core contract services, and can advise you on the options available and the potential tax savings. We will ensure that we stay ahead of the game when it comes to the newly released white paper and Health and Social Care Bill, and the potential changes that this will have on general practice leading up to 1 April 2013.

If you would like any further details on any of the above, or have any other questions, please contact us here or email our specialist team on Doctors. For our views on the recently released Health and Social Care Bill, please click here
