Guest speakers DS Ivor Bowen from Hampshire Constabulary and David Jones from the Charity Commission joined Morris Crocker’s Paul Underwood and Stuart Mackie.  Their presentations on preventing cybercrime, good governance and enhancing the trustee report offered many practical tips and provided useful information as affirmed by our attendees on their feedback forms. You can watch their presentations below.

Our free annual seminar attracts charities of all interests and sizes.  As such it can often prove quite a challenge to pitch the presentations at the right level for everyone.  However with 17 years’ experience of providing seminars to charities we hope we have learnt what works best for our audience.  This year all our audience said they were likely to attend future seminars.

We also received many suggestions for topics for future event.  These included fundraising initiatives, ensuring sustainability, the role of volunteers. Such a wide range of responses demonstrates the many areas of concern for charities and areas for us to focus on.

If you would like to join our mailing list for our monthly enews for charities and an invitation to next year’s seminar please email Margot Vere.
