Morris Crocker Annual Seminar for Charities

" Excellent as always"; "This is the only event of this kind I know about, to hear and discuss issues about charities' finances and governance"; "Good opportunity to update knowledge and network"  These are some of the comments made by attendees at our annual seminars.

Our annual seminar for charity trustees and management staff is free to attend and provides a unique opportunity for charities to update their knowledge on accounting, governance and legal matters.

The seminar is held each May at the Solent Hotel, in Whiteley, Fareham. To our knowledge it is the longest running event of its kind in the area - next year will be the 20th anniversary - and usually attracts around 100 members of small- to medium-sized charities based in Hampshire and surrounding counties.

Our guest speakers in previous years have included members from the Charity Commission, the Institute of Fundraising, the Big Lottery Fund, Hampshire Constabulary and economic commentators and presentations from our own charity clients.

We are currently planning our 2020 agenda. If you would like to join our mailing list for monthly updates about the seminar and receive an invitation to the seminar please email Margot Vere at

What our clients say...

"We appointed Morris Crocker for the first time for our 17/18 accounts and found them to be professional, thorough and experienced. During the audit they offered solutions to various issues that we were experiencing. The "audit findings" report was in depth and focused on not only what they had found but the best way to resolve anything identified. They also went above and beyond while producing our consolidated accounts taking it upon themselves to make sure that mapping to the previous year meant that they were giving us the best possible comparisons. The original tender was for 1 year and we have now appointed Morris Crocker for a further two years."
