The government has published its latest version of leaflet P9X which sets out the tax codes to be used from 6 April 2019. The personal allowance has increased to £12,500 for 2018/19 and the emergency code is 1250L.
The guidance also explains how to update existing tax codes for employees who have not been issued with a new tax code, and what tax codes are simply carried forward.
