Struggling to record and report on the practice’s performance, Morris Crocker were asked to recommend and implement new cloud-based online accounting software that would enable the principal dentists to analyse the performance of the practice in real time and cut down on laborious bookkeeping activities.
After an initial consultation process, Xero was suggested as a suitable system, as it can be accessed at any time from any internet-enabled device and has a whole raft of benefits such as easy bank reconciliations, cloud file storage, rich & detailed reporting and free online support.
Once suitable software had been selected, Morris Crocker staff managed the conversion from the practice’s legacy software, Sage. To ensure a smooth transition, data such as the practice’s contacts and chart of accounts were extracted from Sage and imported into Xero, reducing the need to ‘rekey’ data and gave the new software an air of familiarity for those charged with maintaining the system.
Once setup, a detailed training session was provided, on location, using real data and information. This covered day-to-day bookkeeping, report generation and more advanced features such as the file storage system. Ad-hoc advice and assistance was then provided as and when required by the practice.
The practice was happy with the results as this member of staff affirms: "As a practice manager in a busy dental practice, I need an accounting system which is easy to use and can meet all my needs. Xero does this, and because it is cloud based the partners and I can access it from anywhere, which we were unable to do with Sage.
The training and support provided by Morris Crocker has been very thorough and very efficient. I am happy with the changes we have made."
